Arashiyama district of Kyoto\u00a0thanks to our wonderful local guide, Ayano Inami. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC_6696-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11000\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11000\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC_6696-2.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_6696-2\" width=\"400\" height=\"321\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We entered the beautiful Sogenchi Garden at Tenryu-ji Zen Temple which was founded in 1339 and is a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC_6631.jpg\" rel=\"attachment the last stop and then took a taxi to the Kyoto Handicraft Center.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSC_6857.jpg\" rel=\"attachment width=\"400\" height=\"290\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We made a few purchases then rode a taxi back to the hotel to prepare for our farewell dinner in the Gion District.<\/p>\n<p><a #000000;\">It was a pleasant evening and we walked around the district admiring the Sakura &#8211; cherry blossoms. \u00a0We waited two weeks for <em>&#8220;Hanami&#8221;<\/em> &#8211; the Japanese custom of viewing cherry blossoms.
