Le Castellet is a medieval village perched on top of a hill with panoramic views of\u00a0\u00a0the famous vineyards in the Bandol region of southern France. \u00a0According to the guides, it was settled in the year 1030.<\/p>\n

We entered through one of the old ‘portes<\/em>‘ (gateways) carved into the ancient ramparts of the fortified town.<\/p>\n

Narrow cobblestone streets and pretty little squares were lined with a variety of shops and restaurants.<\/p>\n

We had a tasty\u00a0outdoor lunch on the terrace of the Auberge de l’Ormeau.<\/p>\n

We left le Castellet and drove to the fishing village of Bandol which was established in 1595. \u00a0We walked along the shore and stopped for cold drinks.<\/p>\n

Later we went to Les Sablettes, the beach near la Seyne sur Mer, where we had yummy\u00a0pizza and seafood dinners. \u00a0We sat and relaxed then strolled through their night market.<\/p>\n
