It was a hazy chilly morning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15667\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_E2764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The breakfast room was crowded so we happily shared a table with a middle-aged couple. The man worked in Alaskan state government and they were on their way to Juneau (the capital of Alaska) for the opening of the new legislative assembly. We had a lively conversation but largely avoided hot political topics.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15668\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_2768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"329\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were so close to the cruise terminal, we decided to walk to the ship. It was the quickest boarding process ever and we spent the rest of the day exploring the ship and relaxing.
