Inspired by the French palace, it was called &#8220;The Russian Versailles.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16697\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6379.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"263\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We arrived in the morning before the fountains were turned on and waited above the Grand Cascade and Samson Fountain with other tourists.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16699\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6388.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"271\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are 64 fountains all together and water is supplied from natural springs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16700\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6393.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"306\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16701\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6397.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"256\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16702\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6404.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"277\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The gardens were inspired by the Gardens of Versailles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16703\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6433.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16704\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/DSC_6451.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"268\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The interior rooms were ornately decorated with gilt moldings and many beautiful paintings on the walls.
