{"id":5267,"date":"2013-05-07T09:50:25","date_gmt":"2013-05-07T13:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/?p=5267"},"modified":"2013-05-07T09:50:25","modified_gmt":"2013-05-07T13:50:25","slug":"signs-of-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/?p=5267","title":{"rendered":"Signs of Spring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tuesday, May 7, 2013<\/p>\n<p>As Emily Dickinson wrote,<\/p>\n<div>Hope is the thing with feathers<\/div>\n<div>That perches in the soul,<\/div>\n<div>And sings the tune &#8211; without the words,<\/div>\n<div>And never stops &#8211; at all,<\/div>\n<p>After a difficult winter for so many people across the world, in our nation, locally, and personally, it is <em>Hope<\/em> that carries all of us forward to a brighter future. \u00a0Spring is a time of renewal, promise, and hope.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSC_59552.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5278\" title=\"DSC_5955\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSC_59552.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"293\" \/><\/a>Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center<\/p>\n<p>I always thought it was obnoxious of parents to boast about their young children&#8217;s accomplishments, <strong>however,<\/strong>\u00a0I think grandparents, especially Grandmas, can boast all they want. \u00a0Grandparents have earned the right to boast and brag and beam with pride at any time and any opportunity. \u00a0As the school year winds down, the youngster concert season is in full swing. \u00a0My younger granddaughter played cello with her classmates at their elementary school concert. \u00a0She had a solo part and had a great time!
