National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday, September 14, 2013<\/p>\n<p>We decided to stay one more day in Springdale to see another part of Zion National Park. \u00a0Almost three million people visit the park annually so automobiles are limited to campers and guests at the Lodge. \u00a0The National Park Service provides frequent all-day shuttle buses from the Visitor&#8217;s Center up to the Temple of Sinawava. \u00a0The red road meanders along the Virgin River and makes several scenic stops along the way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9292.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6029\" title=\"DSC_9292\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9292.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"294\" \/><\/a>Part of the Visitor&#8217;s Center<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9396.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6030\" left;\">We parked the car in Springdale and took one of the Shuttle buses that run from the town to the Visitor&#8217;s Center. \u00a0It is a Saturday and we saw a long line of cars waiting at the park entrance. \u00a0The bus was efficient, convenient, and easy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9303.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6031\" title=\"DSC_9303\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9303.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>Toward the River<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The bus had an informative recorded commentary describing the prominent monoliths and hiking trails. \u00a0The incredibly beautiful red rocks were giant sand dunes millions of years ago. \u00a0We rode to the last stop and got out to explore and take photographs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9322.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6034\" title=\"DSC_9322\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_9322.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>Fiery Rock<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: style=\"text-align: left;\">We walked along an easy trail which followed the river. \u00a0It was a pleasant walk because the trail happened to be in the shade at this time of day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After a while, we walked back to catch the shuttle bus back down the canyon. \u00a0It was well past lunchtime, so we stopped at the restaurant near the Zion Lodge. \u00a0It was good to sit after our long walk. \u00a0We had a pleasant lunch of quinoa salad and tacos then we waited for another shuttle bus to return to Springdale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a happy that we stayed another day to visit another part of Zion National Park. \u00a0It is an incredibly beautiful natural site to see and explore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
