Unfortunately, it was an overcast day and the colored stripes of land erosion were muted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/DSC_3175.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6723\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/DSC_3175.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_3175\" width=\"400\" height=\"274\" \/><\/a>Tourists on the Overlook<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Badlands National Park\u00a0reminded us of the natural formations in Utah. We talked about the surprise the early pioneers must have experienced when they came upon these unfriendly cliffs in their westward journey.
