It was a cool, bright sunny day and the city glowed. We walked through the Gothic Quarter to the magnificent Palau de la Musica Catalana, a concert hall built in 1908.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1051.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10053\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1051.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1051\" width=\"400\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We took the guided tour and were treated to a mini-concert going on in the magnificent auditorium.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1085.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10054\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1085.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1085\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1104.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10056\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1104.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1104\" width=\"400\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1094.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10055\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC_1094.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1094\" width=\"400\" height=\"399\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A quick stop in a cafe:\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_78401.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10057\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_78401.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7840\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A brief stop in La Boqueria:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_7856.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10059\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_7856.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7856\" width=\"400\" height=\"321\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_78591.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10058\" src=\"https:\/\/gallivantinggrandma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_78591.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7859\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had a rest\/siesta on the roof terrace of our hotel then went to see Casa Lleo Morera, another Modernista house designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner.
